Practice Area 02
Commercial Law
Our firm has many years of experience in drafting and negotiating the terms of every type of commercial contract, representing our clients with the aim of achieving the best possible commercial agreement, tailored to their current needs.
Company formation and legal support
We undertake the formation, publication and full legal support of companies of every form in Greece and Cyprus, as well as start-up and spin-off companies, maintaining a permanent and ongoing collaboration with one of the largest law firms in Limassol, Cyprus.
Together, we will decide on the appropriate tax planning for your business, in accordance with the applicable tax provisions.
Our specialised associates can inform you in detail and recommend the most suitable company form for your business needs, activities and objectives. This choice determines the partners’ liability, the manner of decision-making, and tax treatment, which is why it is made at the outset and with a complete picture. Guidance and legal support then continue on an ongoing basis, with clear solutions to the legal issues that arise.
Commercial contracts
We draft and negotiate the terms of contracts such as:
- Agency agreements
- Cooperation and distribution agreements
- Factoring
- Forfaiting
- Leasing
- Sale and lease back
In ongoing commercial relationships, issues rarely arise at the outset — they arise at termination. The terms that later determine the cost of an exit are the duration and manner of termination, territorial exclusivity, non-compete clauses, and the treatment of stock and customers after expiry. This is why negotiation focuses on the end of the relationship just as much as on its beginning.
Financing
We offer specialised solutions for the assessment and realisation of financing projects and financing arrangements in general.
In every financing arrangement, the critical factor is not only the interest rate, but the full set of security required and the obligations the business assumes for the duration of the loan. Reading these terms before signing shows which business moves will remain feasible afterwards.
Trademarks, domain names and digital compliance
We undertake the registration of national, EU and international trademarks and domain names, as well as the drafting of terms of use and privacy policies — cookies, data security and protection of personal data.
Trademark registration is territorially limited: the protection afforded by a national trademark does not automatically extend beyond national borders. The choice between a national, EU or international filing depends on the markets in which the business operates or plans to operate.
